The Opportunity:

The Elementary Associate Principal plays a key role in supporting the learning and well-being of students from Early Childhood through Grade 5. This position helps ensure the school’s vision and strategic priorities are consistently reflected in classroom practices and school operations. The role is ideal for a dynamic leader who values collaboration, student engagement, and a strong focus on curriculum and assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of the school’s vision and strategic priorities across Early Childhood through Grade 5.
  • Collaborate closely with the Early Childhood and Elementary Principal to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Strengthen teaching and learning through coaching, curriculum development, and assessment practices.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and student-centered school culture that reflects the school’s core values.
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, staff, and external partners.
  • Manage administrative responsibilities and support the school’s mission through thoughtful decision-making.
  • Promote the use of educational technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of school systems, routines, and relationships.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Curriculum, or a closely related field.
  • Valid teaching certification or credential.
  • Minimum five years of successful elementary or early childhood teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in curriculum, assessment, coaching, or school operations.
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with sound judgment.
  • Experience working in a diverse, international community.
  • Confident and capable communicator with students, families, and staff.
  • Proficient with educational technology.

Preferred

  • Spanish language proficiency.
  • Experience in international schools or with culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
  • Experience supporting standards-based curriculum and assessment systems.
  • Strong approach to restorative justice and proactive supervision of students and staff.
