The Opportunity:

The Whole School Support Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring that all students receive equitable support to succeed academically and emotionally. This position leads the development and implementation of a whole-school Response to Intervention model, bridging learning support, bilingual and multilingual learner services, and counseling. The role is central to fostering student wellbeing and academic achievement across all grade levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a whole-school Response to Intervention model to support student learning and wellbeing.
  • Coordinate collaboration between learning support, bilingual and multilingual learner services, and counseling teams.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to Learning Support, BML, and Counseling departments.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress through evidence-based practices and data analysis.
  • Support staff and parents through professional development and educational resources.
  • Ensure compliance with IB access and arrangement requirements.
  • Promote student voice and wellbeing in all decision-making processes.
  • Attend meetings, school events, and complete tasks outside normal school hours as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Recognized teaching qualification with postgraduate qualifications in learning support, special education, counseling, psychology, or a related field.
  • Eligibility for certification or accreditation in a relevant student support role.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in student support services in international or IB schools (Nursery–Grade 12).
  • Strong knowledge of inclusive education, intervention models, and wellbeing frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills with students, staff, parents, and external professionals.

Preferred

  • Experience with international education and intercultural competence.
  • Commitment to staying current with educational research and professional practice.
  • Experience in student support leadership roles within a school setting.
