The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced History and Global Politics Teacher to join our dynamic team at the City campus. This role offers the chance to inspire students through engaging lessons and take advantage of the rich historical and cultural opportunities in Barcelona.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and real-world contexts.
  • Support curriculum development and ensure a comprehensive, challenging program for all key stages.
  • Monitor student progress through assessments and homework, providing targeted interventions and support.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, sharing student progress and setting clear targets.
  • Collaborate with department colleagues to continuously improve teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to implement school improvement strategies.
  • Utilize local historical and cultural resources to enhance student learning experiences.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in History and Global Politics at GCSE and IB levels.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, challenging lessons.
  • Experience in curriculum development and delivery across key stages.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.

Preferred

  • Experience in an international school setting or with diverse student populations.
  • Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate curriculum.
  • Experience with enrichment programs and extracurricular activities.
  • Fluency in Spanish or another European language.
