The Opportunity:

As the Secondary Dean of Culture, you will provide essential pastoral leadership for students in Grades 6 through 12. This role is central to supporting student well-being, implementing restorative justice practices, and developing programs that align with the school's mission and vision. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the implementation of a restorative justice program for student discipline and conflict resolution.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive advisory program to support student growth and well-being.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Secondary, Associate Head of Secondary, and Grade Level Leaders to ensure alignment with school goals and policies.
  • Support student transitions across key academic stages, including from Elementary to Middle, Middle to High, and MYP5 to DP1.
  • Partner with the Learning Support Team and IB Coordinators to promote student achievement and academic success.
  • Promote and support the IB MYP and IB DP curriculum across the secondary school.
  • Facilitate community engagement and build strong relationships with students, families, and staff.
  • Attend and contribute to school events and leadership meetings as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, Counseling, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field.
  • Certification or advanced training in Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Applied Behavior Analysis (BCBA preferred), or restorative practices.
  • 3-5 years of experience in educational settings supporting students with behavioral or social-emotional needs.
  • High level of English proficiency.

Preferred

  • Proficiency in Spanish (written and spoken).
  • Experience and/or certification in IB programs (MYP and DP).
  • Experience with advisory programs and pastoral care.
  • Experience in international school settings or multicultural environments.
