The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging and stimulating activities tailored to the needs of young children.
  • Foster a secure and imaginative learning environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
  • Support the holistic development of children, including their social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with parents and carers to ensure a consistent and supportive approach to learning and development.
  • Plan and monitor children's progress to inform and adapt teaching strategies.
  • Encourage the development of literacy, language, and numeracy skills through play and structured activities.
  • Work as part of a team to embed best practices and the school’s vision within the nursery.
  • Ensure compliance with the Early Years curriculum and maintain high standards of care and education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years.
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years curriculum.
  • Ability to plan and prepare engaging activities for children of all abilities.
  • Commitment to inspiring a love of learning in young children.
  • Experience in pastoral care and supporting children’s emotional and social development.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Previous experience in a co-educational environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
