Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in English and Media, including A level qualifications.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student growth and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and contribute to cross-curricular initiatives.
  • Use data effectively to assess student progress and tailor support to meet individual learning needs.
  • Support the pastoral care and well-being of students, contributing to a positive school culture.
  • Participate in professional development and ongoing training opportunities.
  • Contribute to the school’s extra-curricular activities and community engagement.
  • Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A good honours degree.
  • QTS or PGCE teaching qualification, preferably from the UK.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience of teaching.
  • Current ICPC and UK enhanced DBS or equivalent police check.
  • Ability to teach English and Media through to A level.
  • Commitment to student well-being and pastoral care.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Willingness to teach other science subjects to KS3 and/or KS4.
  • Experience in a British curriculum school.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
