The Opportunity:

An English Teacher is sought to join a dynamic and forward-thinking English Department. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students, contribute to co-curricular activities, and support the development of young people in a supportive and innovative educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons that engage and challenge students at all levels.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of the English Language A level curriculum.
  • Support students’ academic and personal development through pastoral care and mentorship.
  • Participate in co-curricular activities and school events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain and enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Stay up to date with developments in English education and pedagogy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching English.
  • Experience in teaching English Language A level is an advantage.
  • Commitment to student welfare and a safe learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working with Early Career Teachers (ECTs) or a willingness to mentor.
  • Involvement in co-curricular or extracurricular activities.
  • Familiarity with the ISTIP (Independent Schools Teacher Induction Panel) programme.
  • Experience in a school setting with a strong focus on character development and community.
