The Opportunity:

As an Admissions Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for UK families exploring a school. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on communication, relationship-building, and guiding families through a key life decision. You will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming admissions journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build rapport with parents and pupils throughout the admissions process
  • Keep families engaged with regular communication and follow-ups
  • Coordinate and manage school visits, ensuring a warm and positive experience
  • Guide families through the application process, including arranging entrance tests and interviews
  • Maintain accurate records and update the admissions database regularly
  • Support the admissions team during key recruitment events such as open days and experience days
  • Liaise with academic staff, learning support, and safeguarding teams as needed
  • Provide support with the scholarship and bursary processes

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong communication skills and confidence on the phone
  • Experience in customer service, sales, or client relations
  • Organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Proactive approach with the ability to follow up and take initiative
  • Ability to build relationships and provide a high level of support to families

Preferred

  • Experience in education or admissions
  • Knowledge of school admissions processes
  • Experience with using admissions management systems
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
