Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality English lessons that inspire and engage students
• Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student progress and achievement
• Support the school’s commitment to excellence in teaching and learning through collaboration with colleagues
• Contribute to the development of the English department and its curriculum
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback
• Participate in staff development and training opportunities
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and other departments to support student success

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent
• Proven experience in teaching English at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5
• Strong subject knowledge in English and English Literature
• Commitment to continuous professional development
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills

Preferred

• Experience in teaching Post-16 students
• Experience with innovative teaching methods and technologies
• Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers
• Experience with curriculum development and assessment
