The Opportunity:
A Mathematics Teacher is needed to join a growing team and support students in developing essential problem-solving and mathematical reasoning skills. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on student learning and achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons to students across a range of ages and abilities.
- Develop and implement a mastery approach to teaching Mathematics in Years 7 to 9.
- Support students through numeracy booster classes and exam revision sessions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver effective and engaging lessons.
- Promote a lifelong enjoyment of Mathematics and a positive learning environment.
- Participate in wider school responsibilities and contribute to the school's overall success.
- Ensure that all students make outstanding progress and achieve their full potential.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching Mathematics in a secondary school setting (ages 11–16).
- Excellent knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum and how to sequence learning effectively.
- A proven record of delivering high-quality teaching and achieving strong student progress.
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to working within a school that is at the heart of the community.
Preferred
- Experience with revision classes or exam preparation.
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
- A track record of involvement in extra-curricular activities related to Mathematics.
- Experience in developing and delivering professional development sessions.
