The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons to students across a range of ages and abilities.
  • Develop and implement a mastery approach to teaching Mathematics in Years 7 to 9.
  • Support students through numeracy booster classes and exam revision sessions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver effective and engaging lessons.
  • Promote a lifelong enjoyment of Mathematics and a positive learning environment.
  • Participate in wider school responsibilities and contribute to the school's overall success.
  • Ensure that all students make outstanding progress and achieve their full potential.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Mathematics in a secondary school setting (ages 11–16).
  • Excellent knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum and how to sequence learning effectively.
  • A proven record of delivering high-quality teaching and achieving strong student progress.
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to working within a school that is at the heart of the community.

Preferred

  • Experience with revision classes or exam preparation.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
  • A track record of involvement in extra-curricular activities related to Mathematics.
  • Experience in developing and delivering professional development sessions.
