The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Business and Economics Teacher to join our expanding department. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching across all key stages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Business Studies and Economics at Key Stages 4 and 5.
  • Plan and sequence curriculum content to ensure progression and mastery of key concepts.
  • Support students in achieving excellent academic outcomes and preparing for university and apprenticeships.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Participate in wider school responsibilities, including pastoral duties and extra-curricular activities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support and feedback.
  • Stay up to date with current economic events and incorporate these into teaching.
  • Contribute to the development of vocational courses and A Level Economics.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • A degree in Business or Economics, or equivalent
  • Evidence of studying Economics at A Level or Degree Level
  • Experience teaching Business and Economics at Key Stage 4 and preferably Key Stage 5
  • Excellent knowledge of curriculum sequencing and delivery
  • Proven record of outstanding teaching and student progress
  • Commitment to wider school responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering vocational courses
  • Experience teaching A Level Economics
  • Vocational experience
