Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for England.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning across the school.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to support the wider school community.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Engage with parents and guardians to maintain strong communication and support student success.
  • Stay up to date with educational trends and incorporate innovative teaching methods into the classroom.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A BEd or Bachelor’s degree in English with PGCE / PGDE or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in teaching English at a relevant level.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A commitment to student success and a passion for teaching.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.

Preferred

  • Experience with the National Curriculum for England.
  • Experience in international school environments.
  • Familiarity with the British Schools Overseas (BSO) accreditation standards.
  • Experience with the iPGCE or NQT programme.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
