The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate English Teacher to join our team and inspire students aged 11 to 16. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact through high-quality teaching and leadership opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a lively, enthusiastic, orderly and safe learning environment.
• Deliver the English curriculum to assigned classes in accordance with the School’s timetable.
• Differentiate lessons according to the abilities and learning needs of individual students.
• Promote independent learning by adopting teaching and learning strategies that develop student competence and confidence.
• Ensure the thorough implementation of subject specifications, teaching schemes, and assessment policies.
• Assess and develop the English curriculum in the school.
• Plan and deliver schemes of work using appropriate teaching and learning methods.
• Keep abreast of current developments in English education and adapt curriculum content and teaching methods accordingly.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified and experienced English Teacher with a background in Secondary education.
• Strong subject knowledge in English Literature and English Language.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
• Flexibility, resilience, and a caring, kind approach towards students.
• Experience in delivering IGCSE English Literature and English Language curricula.

Preferred

• Experience in supporting EAL/ESL learners.
• Experience in whole school leadership or form tutoring.
• Familiarity with international curricula such as IB or IGCSE.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with colleagues and parents.
