The Opportunity:
As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the examination process. You will ensure that all candidates are treated fairly and that exams are conducted in a secure and controlled environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all candidates adhere to examination rules and regulations during the exam period.
- Assist in the preparation of examination materials and distribution of stationery before the exam begins.
- Monitor the exam hall to prevent any unfair advantage or distractions to candidates.
- Collect and securely store completed scripts and unused stationery after the exam concludes.
- Notify the Examinations Officer of any absentees or late arrivals.
- Ensure that exams are conducted within the allotted time and in accordance with instructions.
- Maintain a calm and professional demeanor throughout the examination process.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Ability to maintain a high level of attention and focus during exams.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Experience in a supervisory or monitoring role is preferred.
Preferred
- Previous experience in an educational or examination setting.
- Knowledge of examination procedures and protocols.
- Flexibility to work during the main examination periods, including November, January, and summer terms.
- Ability to work on a sporadic and part-time basis.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate of £12.83 per hour or £13.04 for scribing.
