Key Responsibilities:
- Support teaching staff in delivering high-quality lessons and managing classroom activities.
- Assist students with individual learning needs, including those with additional support requirements.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment through consistent and encouraging interactions.
- Work closely with colleagues to implement school values and ensure student safety and well-being.
- Contribute to the planning, preparation, and organization of teaching and learning resources.
- Provide feedback to students and staff to help improve learning outcomes and classroom management.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior in line with school procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with young people in a school or transferable setting.
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills, equivalent to GCSE English and Maths at grades A*–C / 9–4.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage time and resources effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- Commitment to the school’s values and a child-centred approach to education.
Preferred
- Experience in a classroom or pastoral support role.
- Knowledge of special educational needs and disability (SEND) support.
- Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Familiarity with curriculum planning and delivery.
- Confidence in using digital tools for teaching and learning.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary based on NJC Scale F point 6 – 11.
