The Opportunity:
As an EYFS and Key Stage 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, creative teaching and supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. This role offers the chance to shape a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes curiosity, wellbeing, and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, curiosity-driven learning experiences across the EYFS and Key Stage 1 curriculum
- Support the development of personalised learning pathways for pupils
- Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and Quality of Life for every pupil
- Champion inclusion, rights-respecting practice, and character education
- Build strong partnerships with families and multi-disciplinary professionals
- Model resilience, compassion, and integrity in all interactions
- Lead and inspire classroom teams using a collaborative, team-around-the-child approach
- Ensure safeguarding and wellbeing are at the heart of all teaching and support practices
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in EYFS and Key Stage 1
- Strong understanding of child development and inclusive teaching practices
- Experience working with children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Experience with SEMH support strategies and therapeutic approaches
- Familiarity with trauma-informed and psychologically informed practice
- Experience in leading or contributing to team-based approaches to support children
- Knowledge of curriculum design and delivery in early years and primary education
- Experience in working with Local Authorities or multi-agency partnerships
