The Opportunity:

A part-time Teacher of Business Studies is needed to teach GCSE and A-level Business and Economics. This role offers the chance to join a dynamic, high-achieving department known for its innovative and engaging teaching methods, as well as strong student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Business Studies to GCSE and potentially Business and/or Economics to A-level.
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that challenge and inspire students.
  • Use practical and ICT-based teaching methods to enhance learning.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the curriculum and extracurricular activities.
  • Support student progress through effective teaching and pastoral care.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and resources.
  • Participate in professional development and school initiatives.
  • Maintain high standards of academic and personal achievement for students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in a relevant discipline and a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the 11-18 curriculum and educational best practices.
  • Strong classroom presence and the ability to inspire and motivate students from KS3 to KS5.
  • Effective ICT skills and an understanding of how technology can enhance teaching and learning.
  • Suitability to work with children, with a commitment to safeguarding and student well-being.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Experience in curriculum development and creating schemes of work.
  • A passion for Business Studies and extracurricular activities.
  • A willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
