Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and stimulating EYFS curriculum tailored to the needs of students with learning difficulties.
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans in collaboration with support staff and parents.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, using data to inform teaching strategies and interventions.
  • Promote a safe and nurturing environment that prioritizes the well-being and safeguarding of all students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and holistic approach to teaching and learning.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance SEND education knowledge and practice.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and statutory requirements.
  • Support students in developing social, emotional, and life skills through structured and creative activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in the EYFS curriculum.
  • Experience teaching students with special educational needs, particularly those with learning difficulties.
  • Strong understanding of SEND education principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to diverse learning needs.

Preferred

  • Experience with Education, Healthcare Plans (EHCP).
  • Familiarity with working in a small class setting.
  • Experience in delivering creative and interactive teaching methods.
  • Willingness to engage in continuous professional development in SEND education.
