Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and stimulating EYFS curriculum tailored to the needs of students with learning difficulties.
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans in collaboration with support staff and parents.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, using data to inform teaching strategies and interventions.
- Promote a safe and nurturing environment that prioritizes the well-being and safeguarding of all students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and holistic approach to teaching and learning.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance SEND education knowledge and practice.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and statutory requirements.
- Support students in developing social, emotional, and life skills through structured and creative activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in the EYFS curriculum.
- Experience teaching students with special educational needs, particularly those with learning difficulties.
- Strong understanding of SEND education principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to diverse learning needs.
Preferred
- Experience with Education, Healthcare Plans (EHCP).
- Familiarity with working in a small class setting.
- Experience in delivering creative and interactive teaching methods.
- Willingness to engage in continuous professional development in SEND education.
