The Opportunity:

As a Senior IT Technician, you will lead and support the delivery of IT services across the school and a local primary school within the academy. This role is ideal for someone passionate about technology and dedicated to improving the learning experience through innovative IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and operational support, guidance, and supervision to ensure effective IT services are delivered daily.
  • Enhance teaching and learning experiences through the implementation and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Support the delivery of IT services at a local primary school within the academy.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of IT systems, including safeguarding and data protection.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues promptly, with a practical, "can-do" approach.
  • Maintain and manage infrastructure and server systems effectively.
  • Communicate technical information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to develop and maintain strong working relationships.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Significant experience in an IT support role.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a practical, "can-do" approach.
  • Confident using Microsoft 365, Azure, Teams, SharePoint, and Active Directory.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, data protection, and secure IT practices.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively under pressure in a busy school environment.
  • Excellent organisational and customer service skills.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in an education setting.
  • Experience with managing and supporting IT infrastructure in a school environment.
  • Familiarity with the latest IT trends and technologies.
