The Opportunity:
As a Senior IT Technician, you will lead and support the delivery of IT services across the school and a local primary school within the academy. This role is ideal for someone passionate about technology and dedicated to improving the learning experience through innovative IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and operational support, guidance, and supervision to ensure effective IT services are delivered daily.
- Enhance teaching and learning experiences through the implementation and maintenance of IT systems.
- Support the delivery of IT services at a local primary school within the academy.
- Ensure the security and integrity of IT systems, including safeguarding and data protection.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues promptly, with a practical, "can-do" approach.
- Maintain and manage infrastructure and server systems effectively.
- Communicate technical information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to develop and maintain strong working relationships.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Significant experience in an IT support role.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a practical, "can-do" approach.
- Confident using Microsoft 365, Azure, Teams, SharePoint, and Active Directory.
- Understanding of safeguarding, data protection, and secure IT practices.
- Ability to prioritise effectively under pressure in a busy school environment.
- Excellent organisational and customer service skills.
Preferred
- Previous experience in an education setting.
- Experience with managing and supporting IT infrastructure in a school environment.
- Familiarity with the latest IT trends and technologies.
