The Opportunity:

As a Faculty Assistant in Art and Design Technology, you will provide essential in-class support to students and teachers across all subjects. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in education and develop their skills in working with young people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students in and out of lessons as directed by teachers.
• Cover for teacher absences across all subject areas.
• Provide administrative support to teachers within the Art and DT Department and across other faculties.
• Assist with after-school student activities as required.
• Ensure a safe and productive learning environment during supervision.
• Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
• Maintain accurate records and support school operations as needed.
• Participate in staff development and training opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Literacy and numeracy skills.
• Competent use of IT systems.
• Ability to work with students of all ages in secondary education.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

• Experience in education or working with young people.
• Interest in developing teaching skills and progressing into teacher training.
• Flexibility to work additional hours for after-school activities or administrative support.
