The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Finance Manager to contribute to the financial stability and strategic growth of the institution. This role is central to ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective budget management, and compliance with financial regulations. The Finance Manager will play a key part in supporting the school’s long-term sustainability and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all financial processes, including control account reconciliations, month-end journals, and variance analysis.
- Ensure accurate and timely production of management accounting reports and financial data.
- Support budget holders and maintain financial records in line with relevant regulations.
- Oversee international tuition fees, bursary funding, and financial planning for long-term sustainability.
- Collaborate with the Director of Finance and Resources to ensure financial controls are effectively managed.
- Manage student services systems, including Pay My Student and Parent Pay, and support the Student Services and Reception teams.
- Contribute to forecasting and decision-making processes that align with the school’s strategic objectives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within the education sector.
- Strong knowledge of financial systems, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Ability to manage complex financial processes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with management accounting and variance analysis.
Preferred
- Experience with international tuition fee management and bursary funding.
- Familiarity with financial software and systems used in education institutions.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Experience in student services or administrative support roles.
