The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Food and Nutrition Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. This temporary role is ideal for an ECT and offers the opportunity to deliver an engaging and inclusive curriculum that inspires students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver stimulating, inclusive, and engaging Food & Nutrition lessons
  • Support students in developing practical skills and knowledge in food and nutrition
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to enhance the learning experience
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Continuously reflect on and improve teaching practice
  • Engage and motivate students through creative and interactive teaching methods
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement
  • Participate in school events and initiatives that promote student well-being and development

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Food and Nutrition
  • Ability to engage and motivate secondary school students
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment

Preferred

  • Experience working with ECTs or in a supportive team environment
  • Background in curriculum development or innovative teaching methods
  • Experience with inclusive education practices
  • Willingness to participate in school-wide initiatives and events
