The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Food and Nutrition Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. This temporary role is ideal for an ECT and offers the opportunity to deliver an engaging and inclusive curriculum that inspires students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver stimulating, inclusive, and engaging Food & Nutrition lessons
- Support students in developing practical skills and knowledge in food and nutrition
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to enhance the learning experience
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Continuously reflect on and improve teaching practice
- Engage and motivate students through creative and interactive teaching methods
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement
- Participate in school events and initiatives that promote student well-being and development
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Food and Nutrition
- Ability to engage and motivate secondary school students
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment
Preferred
- Experience working with ECTs or in a supportive team environment
- Background in curriculum development or innovative teaching methods
- Experience with inclusive education practices
- Willingness to participate in school-wide initiatives and events
