Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality food technology lessons aligned with the National Curriculum and international standards.
  • Develop and implement engaging and practical teaching strategies that foster student creativity and learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular links and support student achievement.
  • Participate actively in extra-curricular activities and school events to promote a positive learning culture.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students, ensuring their well-being and academic progress.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in food technology and incorporate them into teaching.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and performance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A BEd or bachelor's degree in food technology, hospitality, or equivalent PCGE.
  • Proven experience in teaching food technology or related subjects.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding learning and teaching outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

  • Willingness to engage in the school’s extra-curricular programme and community events.

Preferred

  • Experience with the National Curriculum for England or UAE Ministry of Education curricula.
  • Previous experience in a British school overseas or international school setting.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and resources used in food technology education.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TEFL/ESL).
