As the Head of Food Science, you will lead and inspire students in the field of food technology, helping them develop essential skills in nutrition, sustainability, and culinary arts. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and innovative lessons in Food Technology, covering food science, nutrition, and cooking techniques.
• Support students in understanding sustainable food practices, food production, and health and safety regulations.
• Foster a creative and hands-on learning environment that encourages experimentation and innovation in the kitchen.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop a cohesive and well-rounded curriculum aligned with the school’s values.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff, providing regular updates on student progress.
• Participate in extracurricular activities such as cooking clubs and food-related events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Nutrition, Culinary Arts, or a related subject.
• PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching GCSE Food Technology with a strong record of student achievement.
• Creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching both in and outside the classroom.
• Strong IT and communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.

Preferred

• Experience in curriculum development and leadership within a school setting.
• Commitment to career growth, leadership, and sustainability in education.
