The Opportunity:

As the Head of Psychology, you will lead and mentor a team of Psychology teachers to ensure high-quality teaching and learning. This role is ideal for an experienced educator looking to take the next step in their career at a world-class institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of Psychology teachers to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share outstanding teaching practices and improve student outcomes.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that align with the school’s vision and curriculum standards.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school culture through active engagement in extra-curricular and community-based events.
  • Provide guidance and support to students, ensuring their academic and personal development.
  • Work closely with parents and colleagues to maintain strong communication and collaboration.
  • Stay up to date with current research and developments in the field of Psychology education.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s academic programs and policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Hold a BEd or Bachelor's degree in Psychology with PGCE / PGDE or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in teaching Psychology at a senior level.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of teachers.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A growth mindset with a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in international education settings.
  • Familiarity with the British curriculum and international standards.
  • Experience with the NQT, QTS, or iPGCE programs.
  • Leadership experience within a school or educational institution.
  • Ability to contribute to the development of extra-curricular programs and community initiatives.
