Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective Geography lessons aligned with the National Curriculum of England and the Hong Kong Secondary Geography Curriculum.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes mutual respect and academic excellence.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that encourage critical thinking, creativity, and student engagement.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous learning and improvement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and contribute to the overall success of the school.
• Promote equality of opportunity and encourage excellence, resourcefulness, and perseverance among students.
• Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree or above in any field.
• Appropriate secondary education teacher training in Geography, with a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
• Working experience and knowledge of the Secondary Geography Curriculum issued by the CDCHK or the National Curriculum of England.
• Proficiency in English for teaching purposes.
• Evidence of relevant continuing professional development.
• Acceptable personal and professional background checks, including an International Child Protection Certificate and/or police checks.

Preferred

• Experience with the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).
• Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate technology into Geography teaching.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
