The Opportunity:
This Hairdressing Teacher role is ideal for someone passionate about education and skilled in delivering practical and theory lessons. You will support students in KS4, helping them achieve their full potential in Hairdressing qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver practical and theory lessons across Hairdressing for KS4 students.
- Develop and implement schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching materials.
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to support improvement.
- Act as a personal tutor and deliver individual learning plans and tutorials.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievement, and progress using electronic systems.
- Promote equality, diversity, and safeguarding in all aspects of teaching and learning.
- Contribute to curriculum development and course planning, either independently or as part of a team.
- Support student recruitment, enrolment, and induction processes, including interviews and assessments.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant teaching qualification and experience in Hairdressing or a related field.
- Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging practical and theory lessons.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in assessing student work and providing constructive feedback.
- Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and safeguarding in education.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching students in KS4 or similar age groups.
- Familiarity with using information and learning technology (ILT) in the classroom.
- Experience in curriculum development and course leadership.
- Knowledge of British values and PREVENT strategies.
