Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of specialist teachers and support staff.
• Develop and implement a forward-thinking Design Technology curriculum aligned with the school’s values and global sustainability goals.
• Collaborate with the Creative Arts Faculty to enhance student learning and engagement.
• Support students in achieving Cambridge IGCSE and A Level qualifications in Design and Technology.
• Promote intercultural and sustainable learning practices across the department.
• Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Provide professional development opportunities for staff and encourage reflective teaching practices.
• Work closely with other departments to integrate Design Technology with broader educational goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience in teaching Design Technology at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
• Strong knowledge of Cambridge IGCSE and A Level Design and Technology qualifications.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a school setting.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a large, diverse, and forward-thinking school community.

Preferred

• Experience in curriculum development and integration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
• Familiarity with intercultural and global education practices.
• Experience in using digital and technical resources in teaching.
• Passion for lifelong learning and professional growth.
