Summary:

Head of Digital and ICT to lead strategic and operational delivery of digital services at a school.

The Opportunity:

The Head of Digital and ICT will lead the strategic and operational delivery of digital, data, and ICT services, ensuring that the school remains at the forefront of technological innovation. This is a pivotal role in driving the school’s digital transformation and supporting both teaching and business operations with secure, forward-thinking solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the development and implementation of a school-wide digital strategy.
  • Oversee the management and security of IT systems, including servers, networks, cloud platforms, and AV systems.
  • Deliver transformational change projects, including software implementation and device rollouts.
  • Ensure robust cybersecurity and systems risk management across the school.
  • Manage and develop a team of data and ICT professionals, providing leadership and direction.
  • Support the use of management information systems (MIS) to ensure effective data use for decision-making.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders, translating complex information into accessible formats.
  • Manage IT asset procurement, budgeting, and resource planning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven management experience in digital and ICT leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and delivering digital strategies and transformational change projects.
  • Experience managing servers, networks, cloud-based platforms, and AV systems.
  • Strong background in cybersecurity and systems risk management.
  • Experience with management information systems (MIS) and data reporting.
  • Strong team leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational, project management, and analytical skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in education or a similar sector.
  • Experience with digital learning and e-learning platforms.
  • Experience in IT asset management and procurement.
  • Familiarity with the school’s values and ethos.
