The Opportunity:
As a Non-Residential Houseparent, you will play a vital role in supporting the pastoral care of boarding students. This position involves assisting with evening duties, supervision, and ensuring the well-being of students in a structured and caring environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residential houseparents with afternoon tea and bedtime routines for boarders.
- Supervise prep sessions and ensure students complete their academic tasks.
- Attend supper with boarders and provide a supportive presence during meals.
- Support with evening duties as required, ensuring the smooth operation of the boarding house.
- Collaborate with resident staff to maintain a cohesive and effective team.
- Ensure professional appearance and conduct at all times.
- Support students in a safe and nurturing environment during evening hours.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with young people in a residential or educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a houseparent or pastoral care role.
- Experience working in a school or boarding environment.
- Knowledge of child development and behaviour management.
- Ability to work as part of a team and support the school’s ethos and values.
Compensation & Benefits:
