The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEMH Primary Teacher to join our supportive team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver creative, personalized learning that meets individual needs
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with children who have experienced trauma or have complex needs
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to support holistic child development
  • Implement trauma-informed and neuroscientific approaches to behavior and learning
  • Maintain high expectations and boundaries while fostering a safe and predictable environment
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote emotional regulation and self-management
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and clinical supervision
  • Support children with a range of needs, including those with ASD, ADHD, and other medical diagnoses

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in SEMH or special educational needs
  • Strong understanding of primary and early years pedagogy
  • Experience working with children who have experienced trauma or complex needs
  • Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with children and adults
  • Commitment to a trauma-informed and relational approach to teaching

Preferred

  • Experience with clinical supervision or continuous professional development
  • Knowledge of neuroscientific approaches to learning and behavior
  • Flexibility and creativity in adapting teaching methods
  • Experience in a school with a strong focus on emotional regulation and reparation
