Head of Islamic Faculty required for August 2026 at a leading British curriculum school.

The Opportunity:
As the Head of Islamic Faculty, you will lead and inspire the Islamic Faculty and Secondary School, ensuring students grow academically, emotionally, and socially. This role is ideal for a passionate and visionary educator who wants to make a real difference in the lives of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Islamic Faculty and Secondary School with a focus on academic excellence and student development.
- Develop and implement a vision for Islamic education that aligns with the school’s mission and values.
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide a holistic education that supports the academic, emotional, and social growth of students.
- Oversee the delivery of Islamic studies from early years through to A level, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
- Promote and support the wider curriculum, including science subjects at KS3 and KS4.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
- Work closely with senior leadership to drive continuous improvement and innovation in teaching and learning.
- Ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of all students within the faculty.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A good honours degree.
- QTS or PGCE teaching qualification, preferably from the UK.
- Minimum of two years’ experience of teaching.
- Ability to teach Islamic studies through to A level.
- Willingness to teach science subjects at KS3 and/or KS4.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Commitment to student wellbeing and pastoral care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a senior leadership or faculty leadership role.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Experience in a British curriculum school.
- Strong understanding of data-driven teaching and learning strategies.
- Experience in safeguarding and student support.
