The Opportunity:

As the Head of Mathematics Faculty, you will lead and inspire a team of dedicated educators, driving innovation and excellence in mathematics education. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of Mathematics teachers to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the Mathematics curriculum and student achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school to promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community.
  • Promote and lead the school’s extra-curricular and community-based initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment with the school’s vision and values, including a commitment to inclusivity and cultural understanding.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the Mathematics department, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Represent the Mathematics faculty in school-wide meetings and external events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Hold a BEd or Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a PGCE / PGDE or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a Mathematics department.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A demonstrated track record of outstanding teaching and learning outcomes.
  • A growth mindset, with a commitment to reflective practice and continuous improvement.
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities.

Preferred

  • Experience with international curricula such as the National Curriculum for England or UAE Ministry of Education standards.
  • Experience with British Schools Overseas (BSO) accreditation and associated programs.
  • A passion for innovation and creativity in teaching and learning.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing new teachers.
