The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Mathematics to lead and develop the mathematics department. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about teaching and inspiring students, with a proven ability to drive academic excellence and innovation in learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the mathematics department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning
• Develop and implement a robust curriculum that supports student achievement and engagement
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share best practices
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing targeted support where needed
• Coordinate with parents and external stakeholders to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
• Oversee the planning and delivery of GCSE and A Level qualifications
• Implement initiatives that drive positive change and improve student outcomes

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience in leading or coordinating a subject area
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent with relevant teaching qualifications
• Strong command of English
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality teaching and learning
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred

• Experience working in a British school, particularly in the UAE
• A track record of success in teaching GCSE and A Level qualifications
• Experience in leading departmental initiatives and driving positive change
• Strong leadership and team-building skills
• Familiarity with British curriculum standards
