The Opportunity:
As a Secondary Inclusion Teacher – Exam Access Arrangements, you will play a key role in supporting students with additional learning needs and ensuring that all exam access arrangements are implemented effectively. This role is essential in helping students achieve their full potential in line with current regulations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage exam access arrangements for secondary students in line with JCQ guidelines.
- Deliver personalised support for students with SEND or other additional needs in both in-class and examination settings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all arrangements and interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure students receive appropriate support for learning and assessment.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular updates on areas of strength, achievement, and ongoing need.
- Communicate effectively with students to support engagement, confidence, and adherence to school policies.
- Work as part of the Inclusion Team to contribute to both pastoral and academic provision.
- Ensure all actions are in compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- EAA (Exam Access Arrangements) qualification is required.
- Proven experience providing additional support for students with diverse learning needs.
- Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive student information professionally.
- Proficiency in ICT and digital platforms relevant to education and record-keeping.
- Ability to work methodically under pressure, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills with a proactive approach to working with students, parents, and staff.
- Commitment to promoting inclusion, equality, and cultural awareness across the school.
Preferred
- Knowledge of SEND provision and JCQ exam access regulations.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and iSAMS.
- Previous experience working within a secondary Inclusion Team.
