The Opportunity:

As a Secondary Inclusion Mathematics Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional learning needs across KS3–KS5. You will help ensure that all Exam Access Arrangements are implemented effectively, while providing targeted academic support in Mathematics and fostering student independence and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage exam access arrangements for secondary students in line with JCQ guidelines.
  • Deliver personalised support for students with SEND or additional learning needs in both classroom and examination settings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all access arrangements and interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure appropriate support for learning and assessment.
  • Monitor and track student progress, identifying strengths, achievements, and areas for development.
  • Support student engagement, confidence, and independence in line with school expectations.
  • Contribute to the wider Inclusion Team, supporting both academic and pastoral provision.
  • Provide targeted support in Mathematics across KS3–KS5, including GCSE and A Level.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • EAA (Exam Access Arrangements) qualification.
  • Experience supporting students with a range of additional learning needs.
  • Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching or supporting Mathematics at KS3–KS5, including GCSE and A Level.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Proficiency in ICT and digital tools used for education and record-keeping.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, collaborative approach.
  • Commitment to inclusion, equality, and cultural awareness.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of SEND provision and JCQ exam access regulations.
  • Familiarity with systems such as Microsoft Office and iSAMS.
  • Previous experience working within a secondary Inclusion Team.
