As Head of Mathematics, you will lead and teach Mathematics across Years 7–11, ensuring a dynamic and engaging learning experience. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Mathematics lessons that challenge and motivate students.
  • Lead and support a team of Mathematics teachers, promoting best practices and professional development.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with the school’s strategic goals and educational standards.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
  • Contribute to the development of school policies and initiatives that enhance student achievement and wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to teaching and learning.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Represent the Mathematics department at staff meetings, parent events, and external conferences.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Mathematics education at the secondary level.
  • Proven leadership experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and department leadership.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technology in education.
  • Experience with assessment and data analysis to support student progress.
  • Background in school policy development or strategic planning.
