As Head of Mathematics, you will lead and teach Mathematics across Years 7–11, ensuring a dynamic and engaging learning experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging Mathematics lessons that challenge and motivate students.
- Lead and support a team of Mathematics teachers, promoting best practices and professional development.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with the school’s strategic goals and educational standards.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
- Contribute to the development of school policies and initiatives that enhance student achievement and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to teaching and learning.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
- Represent the Mathematics department at staff meetings, parent events, and external conferences.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Mathematics education at the secondary level.
- Proven leadership experience in a school or educational setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development and department leadership.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technology in education.
- Experience with assessment and data analysis to support student progress.
- Background in school policy development or strategic planning.
