The Opportunity:
As a Maths Teacher, you will play a vital role in inspiring students and raising standards in Mathematics. You will have the opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and the Sixth Form, while contributing to the development of the Mathematics Faculty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons that engage and challenge students at all levels
- Support the development and implementation of innovative teaching strategies and curriculum content
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching and learning across the Faculty
- Participate in professional development and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and leadership initiatives
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance
- Support the school’s values and mission by fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
- Experience teaching Mathematics at Key Stages 3 and 4
- Ability to teach Mathematics in the Sixth Form, if appropriate
- Commitment to raising standards and student achievement
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development or leadership within a Mathematics Faculty
- Experience with teaching Mathematics to a range of abilities
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies
- Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting
