The Opportunity:
As Nursery Manager, you will lead and inspire a dedicated team to provide exceptional care and education for young children. You will play a key role in shaping the early learning experience, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment that supports every child's development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the nursery team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care and education
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans aligned with early years frameworks
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory and safeguarding requirements
- Foster strong relationships with parents, staff, and external agencies
- Monitor and maintain high standards of health, safety, and wellbeing within the nursery
- Support the continuous professional development of nursery staff
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless learning experience for children
- Oversee daily operations and ensure a positive, welcoming environment for all children and families
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing or leading a nursery or early years setting
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or equivalent (e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Childcare)
- Sound understanding of safeguarding policies and child protection procedures
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- First Aid certification
- Experience with curriculum development for early years
- Experience in a school or educational setting
