Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-informed Chemistry lessons that align with the National Curriculum of England.
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, independent inquiry, and creativity.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning across the school.
- Support students in achieving academic excellence and personal growth through differentiated instruction and targeted feedback.
- Stay up to date with developments in the subject and integrate innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of extra-curricular activities that enhance student learning and engagement.
- Work closely with students to nurture their curiosity, confidence, and enthusiasm for science.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to continually improve teaching practice.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent in Secondary teaching or similar.
- Proven experience teaching the National Curriculum of England to GCSE and A Level (KS3/4/5).
- Exceptional subject knowledge in Chemistry.
- At least 2 years of experience teaching the National Curriculum of England.
- Experience of working within a high-performing teaching team.
- A proven track record of providing outstanding teaching and learning.
Preferred
- Experience with cognitive science-informed teaching practices.
- Familiarity with the use of technology in the classroom.
- Experience in developing and delivering extra-curricular science activities.
- Experience with the British Schools Overseas (BSO) inspection framework.
