The Opportunity:

As the Head of Secondary PE, you will lead the Health and Physical Education department, shaping an engaging and innovative PE program aligned with UK standards. You will inspire students, manage a dedicated team, and drive extracurricular activities that promote lifelong health and wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the delivery of a high-quality PE program aligned with UK National Curriculum standards
• Manage and develop a team of PE staff, providing guidance and support
• Design and implement innovative lesson plans that engage diverse learners
• Coordinate and manage extracurricular sports activities and events
• Promote healthy lifestyles and physical wellbeing among students
• Collaborate with other departments to support student development and academic success
• Ensure compliance with school policies and educational standards
• Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment that encourages teamwork and sportsmanship

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field
• Minimum 4 years of teaching experience in secondary school PE
• Proven leadership experience in managing a department or team
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Physical Education
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred

• Experience in developing and managing extracurricular sports programs
• Competence in using technology for teaching and administrative purposes
• Experience in international school settings
