Headteacher - Full Time position available at a leading Prep School in the South West.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Headteacher to lead a thriving Prep School community. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering a forward-thinking five-year Strategic Plan, with a focus on educational excellence, wellbeing, and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Prep School.
- Develop and implement a strategic vision aligned with the school’s mission and values.
- Foster strong partnerships with parents, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Enhance the academic, co-curricular, and pastoral provisions for students.
- Promote and market the school’s strengths to current and prospective families.
- Support and guide the development of a strong and cohesive Prep School community.
- Ensure the effective use of resources and facilities to support student learning and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with the wider Methodist and educational community to strengthen the school’s profile.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in a school setting, preferably as a Headteacher.
- Strong track record in educational leadership and strategic planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external partners.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and delivering long-term strategic plans.
- Familiarity with the Methodist educational tradition.
- Demonstrated success in enhancing student wellbeing and personal development.
- Experience in managing and supporting a diverse and inclusive school community.
