Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and well-structured English and General Studies lessons that cater to the needs of all learners.
- Use assessment and data effectively to support student progress and tailor teaching to individual needs.
- Inspire a love of language, literature and learning through creative and innovative teaching methods.
- Contribute to the pastoral care of students, supporting their academic and personal development.
- Participate in extracurricular activities, educational visits and school events.
- Collaborate with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and stay up to date with best practices in education.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and teaching qualification.
- Proven experience in teaching English at primary level.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.
- Ability to plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching General Studies or cross-curricular subjects.
- Familiarity with using technology in the classroom.
- Experience with extra-curricular activities or leadership roles.
- Experience with child protection and safeguarding procedures.
