As Headteacher, you will lead a team of dedicated professionals and deliver a curriculum that prioritises the needs of every pupil. You will inspire and drive positive change in a school that values therapeutic support, professional development, and student well-being. Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the delivery of a holistic curriculum that meets the needs of students with SEMH and SEND.
  • Lead and manage a team of staff, providing clear, authentic leadership that inspires and engages.
  • Deliver teaching in Maths and/or English to GCSE level, and support the delivery of vocational courses.
  • Design and implement creative, academically engaging curricula that align with the school’s mission.
  • Work closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to support student well-being and progress.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment that prioritises safeguarding and welfare.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to the growth of the school’s leadership team.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a proven record of good or outstanding teaching practice.
  • Experience working with children with SEMH and SEND, including crisis management and behaviour support.
  • Ability to teach Maths and/or English to GCSE level.
  • Experience in designing and delivering engaging curricula with strong management skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering vocational BTEC, Functional Skills, or ELC courses.
  • Experience working within a trauma-informed setting.
  • Experience in leading and managing teams in an educational setting.
