The Opportunity:

A Higher Level Teaching Assistant is needed to support students in English, Maths, and Social Communication. This role involves creating and delivering tailored interventions, ensuring the use of both digital and physical learning resources to meet individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students through targeted interventions in core subjects.
  • Customise learning resources to meet diverse student needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Use IT tools and digital platforms to enhance learning experiences.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
  • Attend and participate in staff training and development sessions.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • GCSE grade C/level 5 or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification or willingness to achieve it within 12 months.
  • Strong IT skills and ability to use digital learning resources.
  • Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or supporting learning in a school environment.
  • Familiarity with curriculum planning and delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational setting.
