The role involves teaching across all key stages, from KS3 to A level, and contributing to the school’s academic and extracurricular initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Physics across key stages (KS3 to A level) to a range of students.
  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that promote student achievement and enthusiasm for Physics.
  • Contribute to the development of departmental initiatives and extracurricular activities.
  • Support students academically and provide individualised guidance where needed.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain and enhance the school’s high academic standards.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
  • Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of teaching and school life.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a strong background in Physics.
  • Experience teaching Physics across key stages (KS3 to A level).
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, engaging lessons.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and take on additional responsibilities.

Preferred

  • Experience in a selective or academically high-achieving school.
  • Involvement in extracurricular or supra-curricular activities related to Physics.
  • Experience with student support and pastoral care.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience in a school with a strong focus on mental health and well-being.
