Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, and produce teaching materials and resources tailored to students’ age and ability.
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the school’s scheme of work and curriculum standards.
  • Assess, record, and report on students’ progress and attainment regularly.
  • Motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential in music.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Department to ensure consistent and high-quality teaching across the school.
  • Support the development of students’ musical skills and confidence.
  • Participate in professional development and school initiatives.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and expression.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status and strong subject knowledge in Music.
  • Experience in delivering lessons that inspire and engage students.
  • Ability to assess and report on student progress effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school setting, particularly within a similar educational context.
  • Experience with inclusive teaching and differentiation strategies.
  • Passion for music and the ability to share that enthusiasm with students.
  • Experience in extracurricular music activities or ensembles.
