The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physics Teacher Graduate Programme candidate to join a dynamic and supportive team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain Qualified Teacher Status while teaching a wide range of students from KS3 to A level. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Physics to students across Key Stages 3 to A level, ensuring high-quality and engaging lessons
  • Deliver a 70% timetable with support from experienced mentors
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement and engagement
  • Participate in the Graduate Teacher Programme, including professional development and training
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the department
  • Support students in their academic and personal development
  • Maintain accurate records and assess student progress regularly
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and events

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in a subject related to Physics with strong A levels, including Physics
  • Commitment to education and a desire to develop a career in teaching
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and take on responsibility

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or tutoring
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Knowledge of current educational trends and teaching methodologies
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive graduate salary (£28,000 plus in year 1 when training, rising to £32,000 salary when fully qualified)
