Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the teaching and learning of Year 6 students in a structured and engaging manner.

  • Monitor and assess student progress, reporting regularly to the class teacher.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant experience in a teaching or educational support role, ideally within a school setting.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and child protection, with the ability to work within these guidelines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and demands.

Preferred

  • Experience working with children in a primary school setting, particularly with Year 6 students.
  • A relevant qualification such as a Level 3 or 5 in education and childcare.
  • Experience in supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices in teaching and learning.
