The Opportunity:

A Teaching Assistant is needed to support Pre-School and Reception classes in the Infant & Junior Division. This role offers a flexible working pattern and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners in a dynamic and supportive school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering high-quality lessons and activities to Pre-School and Reception students.
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of resources to enhance the learning experience.
  • Provide individualized support to students to help them reach their full potential.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and engagement.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to monitor and support student progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of student activities and development.
  • Ensure a safe and stimulating environment for all students during class and break times.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to continue professional development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with young children, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Flexibility to work during term-time and across different year groups.
  • A relevant qualification or experience in education or childcare.

Preferred

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Experience with early years education or primary school settings.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of child development and learning theories.
