The Opportunity:
A Teaching Assistant is needed to support Pre-School and Reception classes in the Infant & Junior Division. This role offers a flexible working pattern and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners in a dynamic and supportive school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering high-quality lessons and activities to Pre-School and Reception students.
- Assist with the planning and preparation of resources to enhance the learning experience.
- Provide individualized support to students to help them reach their full potential.
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and engagement.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to monitor and support student progress.
- Maintain accurate records of student activities and development.
- Ensure a safe and stimulating environment for all students during class and break times.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to continue professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with young children, ideally in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Flexibility to work during term-time and across different year groups.
- A relevant qualification or experience in education or childcare.
Preferred
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
- Experience with early years education or primary school settings.
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum or equivalent.
- Knowledge of child development and learning theories.
